Taking care of yourself is important to both of us, so if you have a fever or are feeling a cold coming on, notify us and we'll be happy to reschedule your appointment for a later day.

Discounts and specials

Throughout the year we offer different discounts and specials in an attempt to help make massage more affordable for those on a restricted income. Offers cannot be combined.

WHAT WILL MY FIRST SESSION BE LIKE?

The first session with any new client will include a thorough discussion of goals for treatment and any health issues that may be affected by massage, including current medications. If you are unsure if massage will work well with your current medical care, please ask your doctor before your massage appointment. (In some cases a note from the doctor may be required.)

 Depending on the type of service you schedule you will either remain fully clothed or be asked to disrobe to your comfort level once the therapist has left the room.

 Sessions where you disrobe you will wait for the therapist to leave the room, then you may disrobe and get under the sheets. Your therapist will knock before re-entering the treatment room. You will be draped with sheets and a blanket the entire session. Only the areas we are working are uncovered at any time and at no time are private areas exposed or worked on.

 At any time you are encouraged to let the therapist know if the room is too cold/hot, if you prefer a different type of music, if the pressure or technique the therapist is applying needs to be adjusted or for any reason you want to end the session just let your therapist know. This ensures you get the best massage session possible.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all, the following policies are honored:

  24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. Our time is just as valuable as yours, so as a courtesy we send out reminder texts. If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice contact us as soon as possible.

No-shows - Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a no-show and will be charged in full for the missed appointment.

Late Arrival Policy - We do not double book sessions. The time you schedule is set aside just for you. Therefore you must inform us immediately that you are running behind. If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible to pay for the full session that was scheduled.

  Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.

GRATUITIES NOT NECESSARY, BUT THANKS!

Tipping is in no way expected. I consider the massage I provide to be an important part of your wellness care. I do appreciate your generosity and am happy you liked the service I provide. However, I would prefer you save your tip to use towards your next session. In lieu of money you can also show gratitude in other ways such as leaving us a review on Yelp or Google and referring people you know to us!

SEXUAL MISCONDUCT POLICY

Embody Balance Bodyworks is a professional place of business. Any sexual remarks, derogatory terms, advances, jokes, innuendos, illicit conduct and gestures will result in immediate termination of the session, client will be held liable for cost of session and charges may be filed with the local police.

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

Embody Balance Bodyworks has the right to refuse services at any time.
